Tuart Forest Primary School – Enrolments for 2025 and Beyond

Tuart Forest Primary School has been applying its local intake boundaries more consistently. In the past, we have been able to
enrol many families from outside our local intake area; however, with ongoing population growth across the region, our network
of local schools is now working together to ensure students from within each intake area are prioritised. This change will
support long-term stability, stronger connections, and improved planning for our students and staff.
Tuart Forest Primary School proudly serves families living in Dalyellup and College Grove. College Grove is in a ‘grey area’,
meaning families in this area have the flexibility to enrol in any public school. Tuart Forest Primary School and Maidens Park
Primary School are the closest designated local intake schools for College Road and applications from this area will be can be
accepted. Traditionally we have welcomed many students from College Grove, and we remain committed to working with
families in that area who choose our school. However, it is important to note that positions for College Grove students are not
guaranteed. Where classes are full, enrolments may be declined, as priority will be given to families living within the Tuart
Forest PS local intake area.
These adjustments bring several benefits to our school community. With greater stability and predictability, we can plan our
classes, staffing and resources with confidence each year. Most of our students naturally transition to Dalyellup College, so
strengthening our intake area means children can move through primary school and into secondary school alongside their
peers, building continuity and friendships. By welcoming more students from our immediate community, we are able to form
consistent two-stream cohorts that grow together through to Year 6, fostering collaboration, belonging and a strong shared
identity.
For families, this means siblings of current students will continue to be accepted, allowing families to remain connected to our
school community. Families living within our local intake zone can be confident that they have a guaranteed place at Tuart
Forest PS, while early childhood enrolments in Kindergarten and Pre-primary will be prioritised for children living within our
intake area.
While this change may result in slightly smaller overall enrolments, it strengthens our community and supports high-quality
teaching and learning. Instead of managing very large cohorts, we will be able to balance class sizes more effectively and
maintain stable, connected year groups. This is not a step backward—it is a strategic opportunity to focus more precisely on
student learning, strengthen relationships and ensure resources are directed where they are needed most.
These changes will allow us to continue providing a safe, stable and connected learning environment for every child. By planning
ahead, we are creating a future where our school remains strong, sustainable and deeply connected to the local community it
serves.
